DZL early career scientist, Dr. rer. med. Andrew Tony-Odigie, receives funding from Mukoviszidose e.V.

The research group led by Dr. rer. med. Andrew Tony-Odigie, an early career scientist at the German Center for Lung Research (DZL-site TLRC Heidelberg) and researcher in the field of medical microbiology and hygiene at the University Hospital Heidelberg, has received a grant of 148,330 euros from the German Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Mukoviszidose e.V). Dr. Tony-Odigie and his team are investigating the role of commensal bacteria, their metabolic products, and their impact on CFTR modulators in lung infections in cystic fibrosis patients.
