ERS Educational Award 2023 to Professor Felix Herth
Professor Felix Herth received the ERS Educational Award 2023 t this year's European Respiratory Society Congress (ERS), which is the largest specialist congress (over 30.000 participants) in the field of pulmonary medicine. It was granted in recognition of his exceptionally great contribution to education in respiratory medicine at the european or international level. In the long history of the ERS he is the first laureate from Germany.
"It is a great honor to receive recognition from the European Congress of Pulmonologists for my long-standing efforts to train and educate young colleagues", says Professor Herth.
Since 2004, Professor Felix Herth has been Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Pulmonology and Intensive Care Medicine at the Thoraxklinik in Heidelberg, and since 2015, CEO and CMO of the Thoraxklinik at Heidelberg University. He is also a founding member and deputy speaker of the TLRC.
