Using epigenetic profiling to identify potential COPD treatments

|   News

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) symptoms are associated with impaired lung fibroblast function. German and British scientists have now identified potential targets for treating COPD by analyzing epigenetic profiles of COPD fibroblasts. In response to the study, the researchers discovered early epigenetic changes in the genome of COPD fibroblasts, which provide new insights into disease development as well as potential treatment avenues.
